Method 2: Check EPF balance via SMS

The Employees Provident Fund Organisation has introduced a new method to check EPF balance through SMS in the year 2015.

Note: in order to make use of this facility, you need to activate your UAN number.

To check the status of your EPF balance via SMS you must use your UAN registered mobile number.

Send a message from your UAN registered mobile to 7738299899.

Upon sending this SMS to the abovementioned number, you will get the EPF balance via SMS from the Employees Provident Fund Organisation. The message which you receive on your mobile includes the details of the member, last contribution and total EPF balance. The EPFO has facilitated the employees to receive the EPF balance in their own language such as Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Bengali and much more.

To get message in Hindi language, just change the code of the language to <HIN> instead of <ENG>.

Method 3: Check EPF balance via Missed Call Service

The EPFO Organisation has launched several services to facilitate the employee to check their EPF balance. If an employee does not have an internet connection, they need not worry. Instead of checking their balance online, they can check it in offline mode by sending a missed call to the below given number.

Make sure that you give a missed call to the abovementioned number only from your UAN registered mobile number. Upon giving a missed call, you will get an SMS within couple of minutes. The SMS consists of the details of the employee and EPF account balance.

Method 4: Check EPF balance using EPFO Mobile App

This is another service launched by EPFO to check the EPF balance using EPFO mobile app. There are numerous EPFO Mobile Apps that are available on the Google Play Store App Store market place absolutely for free of cost. Method 5: Check EPF balance using UAN Number
